The April Revue

Steve and I had a really fun evening at A Stage Kindly's April Revue at the Kings Head on Thursday.  It was a packed house and lots of supportive friends came along.  Adam Spreadbury-Maher, the artistic director, was not to be seen, but I was told this was because he was having a crisis at his other venue The Cock Tavern which has had to close in the middle of a season.  However, I did get a chance to talk to James Hadley from the Arts Council, James Haddrell from Greenwich Theatre and lovely Kate Western, who I had interviewed at an MMD  evening about agents, and had come along on behalf of two of her American clients.

Caroline Hardman sang Hungry Sea really beautifully and it was very well received.  She has a charismatic stage presence, and I hope to see a lot more of her on stage when she finishes drama school.  Katy Lipson really had her work cut out for her with the myriad of styles of songs throughout the evening, and was absolutely brilliant on the piano!
